Speed for team sports
Expressing speed on the field, court or pitch is the single most important quality for team sports athletes. Unlike track speed, this 9-week program focuses less on sustaining maximal velocity and doubles down on acceleration and its complementary strength qualities (click through to see a sample screen shot of one day). You can’t perform if you’re not in the right place at the right time and these peak high-intensity moments often decide the difference between winning and losing.

Program Description
Speed demands for team sports differ from track athletes. Game speed is more about linear and nonlinear acceleration than maintaining high velocity. You can’t perform if you’re not in the right place at the right time and these peak high-intensity moments often decide the difference between winning and losing. Therefore, this program doubles down on acceleration work, dedicates two lifting days to relative strength, and touches on top-end velocity. This program is best utilized for team sports athletes at the skill positions.
